What's New - May 2026
May introduces major improvements to GST in Prosaic - file direct with IRD, and track client GST returns through draft, filed, and payment settled.
We’ve also launched a new Apps & Integrations tab, expanded our developer platform, and added important security and banking enhancements.
Here’s what’s new this month 👇
🚀 GST Filing, Payments & Workflow
You can now file GST returns directly with IRD from within Prosaic.
We’ve also introduced a new GST workflow board, designed to help firms track clients through the full GST lifecycle more efficiently.
Available now:
- File GST returns directly with IRD
- View IRD balances and GST payment settlement status inside Prosaic
- Manage GST returns through a workflow board with statuses and progress tracking
- Returns automatically move to 'complete' when payment is settled
- Use list filters to preview GST status across clients, including outstanding payments, interest and penalties.
GST in Prosaic is evolving from reporting into a more complete workflow for firms, with more features and automation coming soon.

🔌 Apps & Integrations
We’ve launched a new Apps & Integrations tab in Prosaic.
You can now discover and connect supported apps directly from the platform, with more integrations coming soon. Accountants can preview all apps, while clients only see apps relevant to them, like Invoicing, or our Expenses app.
We’ve also expanded our developer platform with updated APIs, developer documentation, and support for AI assistant integrations.

🔐 Passkeys
You can now sign in to Prosaic using passkeys on supported devices and browsers.
Passkeys provide a faster and more secure sign-in experience using Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or your device’s built-in authentication, instead of emailing a 6 digit code to login.

🏦 Switch to Official Open Banking Connections
If your clients connected Prosaic before March 2026, they may still be using older “classic” Akahu bank connections.
We strongly recommend migrating these connections to Official Open Banking connections to avoid future disruption and ensure ongoing bank feed reliability.
Please share the migration guide below with clients. We’ll also be sending system reminders from Prosaic where older connections are detected.
