What is Prosaic?

Prosaic is an AI powered bookkeeping solution for small business and accountants. It simplifies tax returns by automatically detecting deductible business expenses from any connected bank account - such as home office, motor vehicle, or travel - then seamlessly sharing your claim with your accountant, or posting to Xero or HNRY to ensure you get the best tax deductions, every return.

How to use the getting started guide

This guide is designed for small business and sole traders using Prosaic the first time, and is organised into these key workflows

  1. Sign in and set up your account for the first time
  2. Connect secure bank feeds
  3. Review expenses and find more deductions
  4. Share expense claims with your account, or sync to Xero or HNRY
  5. FAQs

Following these steps, you should be able to get up and running, and submit your first expense claim in under 10 minutes.

After that, Prosaic will continue to monitor your bank feeds for expenses, sending you a summary at the end of each month. It should only take a few minutes to sign in and complete your claims in future, whether you want to do it every month, at GST time, or simply once a year.
