How do I delete a client?

If you need to remove a client from a workspace, for example because they have moved to another practice, follow the steps below.

Before you remove the client

Remove the client from any entities they are assigned to, and unlink any of their bank accounts from entities. Prosaic will not let you remove a client while either connection remains.

Remove a client from a workspace

1. Go to Clients.
2. Select the client you want to remove.
3. On the client details page, select Remove client.
4. Review the confirmation, then select Remove from workspace.

Removing a client takes away their access to this workspace, including its entities and files. It does not permanently delete their Prosaic identity or workspace-owned files.

If this is the client’s only client workspace, Prosaic also removes their Akahu bank connection, banking data, and any unfiled uploads that only belong to this workspace.

If you need to work with the client again later, add them back to the workspace.
