Information clients provide during onboarding
When you invite a client to join Prosaic, they’re guided through a short onboarding flow that takes about five minutes. Here’s what they’ll be asked to provide.
1. Basic details
Clients enter their name and email address to create their account.
If you send the invite, these details are usually pre-filled.
2. Optional details
Clients can optionally provide:
- Phone number – for easy contact.
- Address – used for reports and tax compliance.
- IRD number – helps ensure GST and tax returns are correctly linked.
- Business or income type – e.g. sole trader, company, trust, or rental property.
3. Bank connection setup
Clients connect their bank accounts securely via Akahu, our open banking partner.
This allows transactions to flow into Prosaic automatically, reducing manual data entry and ensuring you receive accurate, up-to-date data.
4. Account configuration
Clients confirm which accounts are for business, rental, or other use.
This helps you quickly identify and categorise transactions correctly during setup.
