Understanding client status

Each client has a status that shows where they’re at in their setup. This helps you see whether they’ve been invited, signed up, connected their bank, or are no longer active.

You can view client status on the dashboard, and the client list

Created

The client record has been made, but they haven’t been invited yet.

Invited

An invite email (magic link) has been sent, but the client hasn’t finished signing up or logged in yet.

(On the dashboard, the 'Invited' number includes "Created' clients too - as some may have been manually invited)

Active

The client has signed up and can use the app, but hasn’t connected any bank feeds or integrations yet.

Connected

The client is active and has at least one integration connected — usually a bank feed.

Inactive

The client has been deactivated and can’t log in or connect anything new. This is a final state.

Lifecycle

Created → Invited → Active ↔ Connected → Inactive

Most clients move from Created to Invited, become Active when they sign up, and Connected once they add a bank feed. Once a client is Inactive, they can’t be reactivated.
